this weekend was pretty good for us food-wise. on saturday we had some yummy pizza at the best pizza place around: pupatella. it is soo, so good. as you can see we frantically dug in before i could even get a picture of our pizzas (audrey and i shared the prosciutto arugula pizza). it was her first time having prosciutto, and she definitely liked it.
so if you guessed from my last post that what was planning to cook was chicken tikka masala you were right… and perhaps also a genius because that picture was super cryptic. so i tried my hand at indian food last night for the first time and i’m happy to report it was easy and delicious! i’m pretty proud of myself for completing a challenging ethnic dish from start to finish (including clean-up) in under 3 hours. the sauce was a little lumpy so next time i might blend it, but the taste was awesome. by the way, i’ve been thinking lately that saying “awesome” really ages me. maybe i’m supposed to say “the taste was #awesome”.
ps: thanks allison for hooking me up with all the indian spices. i owe you big time! :)
so this morning i woke up with a hankering for some pancakes. luckily for the fam, i was feeling generous and i had all the ingredients, even bananas, (normally i’m missing one thing, and it drives me crazy) so i whipped up some banana pancakes for us. (it’s a flower and a heart btdubs):
today after my art class with emily, we decided to have brunch at our fave restaurant cheesetique. they had just come out with a new menu, so i tried the “brunchy flatbread”. it was to die for. i mean, for reals. the picture kinda sucks, because the lighting in there is really bad. sorry. but you get the gist.
OK, now I am officially starving! Chicken tikka masala is one of my favorite things in the world and I would love to make it from scratch. Looking forward to Saturday.
I finally got a chance to look at the “shout out.” By the way, am I too old to use BTdubs?
you’re never too old for btdubs!
Oh, and so jelly of the pupatella
